This spring, the MDI Music Boosters are rolling out a new scholarship program available to all AOS #91 music students grades 5-12 who are pursuing music lessons or attending music camps during summer vacation. Rather than limit this assistance to just summer vacation, we are excited to provide this support for our music students as they pursue ventures and opportunities throughout their musical careers!
Scholarship awards depend upon the number of applicants and amounts requested. Scholarships will be awarded quarterly to students throughout the year. Awards will be granted upon confirmation of enrollment and sent directly to the camp or instructor. Scholarships may be requested prior to acceptance or enrollment with a camp or private instructor.
Complete applications, including confirmations (or pending confirmations) from the camp or instructor, are essential to receive the award. Announcement of the award will be made by e-mail to recipients and their teachers by mid June, with awards mailed directly to the instructor/camp/family upon confirmation of the enrollment.
As a reminder, current MDIHS students who have raised funds for their Music Booster Student Accounts may use those funds in addition to their scholarship to pay for summer lessons or camp.
Applications for the summer of 2024 will be available on May 1st and are due by June 12th 2024! We encourage students to complete their own forms (with support from family as needed). Be sure to have your camp or instructor contact information ready before you begin the form.
